Ministries
In relationship with Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, we serve joyfully as a people beloved and called by the Lord. Our parish has organised ministry opportunities for the community to participate and offer their gifts/charisms to serve others in the parish. If you feel a call to be part of a more active church, please see below for Ministry details.
Ministry reflects the call to 'exercise the mission which God has entrusted the Church to fulfil in the world, in accord with the condition proper to each one.' (Catechism of the Catholic Church 871). Because Ministries are of the Church, they do not operate in isolation, but rather in connection with each other and Christ. Charisms are to be accepted with gratitude by the person who receives them and by all members of the Church as well (Catechism of the Catholic Church 800). Should it be on your heart to take on a more active role, please contact our parish office on 07 3355 3690.
Holy Spirit given gifts/charisms
Gifts are charisms. 'The charisms are not simply human talents or skills, 1 Corinthians 12:7 tells us 'Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.' God created us all with our own gifts and talents. As you discover your gift for Ministry, we invite you to consider the gifts given to you by the Holy Spirit.
