There are many groups in our parish for adults to enjoy and develop their faith.

 

Adoration

Adoration provides an opportunity to spend time in prayer before the blessed Sacrament, in the presence of the Lord.

Adoration is scheduled at St William's Catholic Church every Wednesday evening from 7pm.

Adoration is scheduled at Our Lady of Dolours each Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am, complimented with Reconciliation.

 

Christian Meditation

Meditation focuses on strengthening and deepening our relationship with the Lord through prayer and Scripture.

St William's Catholic Church has Meditation Group scheduled for each Tuesday evening from 7pm.

 

Evergreens

The Evergreens are a social group connecting our parishioners for faith and friendship.  From weekly exercise classes to monthly men's meetings and women's morning teas, there is something for everyone. Please contact our parish office for enquiries.

 

Faith Circle

Faith Circle is a space to enjoy a cuppa and unpack the gospel. Faith Circle is scheduled for each Monday at 9:30am during the school term at the Daley Centre of St William's Catholic Church.

 

Faith Matters

Family Groups

Family Groups are a gathering of small groups of parishioners who form a Family Group. Groups of all ages and stages bond together, sharing in the joys and sorrows of life. Meeting for fun and friendship, supporting each other practically and spiritually, Family Groups truly embody the hit hymn Companions on the Journey!

 

Mothers Prayers

Mothers Prayers is a prayer group of mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers coming together to surrender their children to Jesus. Mothers Prayers is scheduled each Wednesday at 9:30am in the Daley Centre of St William's Catholic Church.

 

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is an important part of our faith, allowing us to be forgiven by the Lord and walk with Jesus once more.

Reconciliation is available in all of our Mass centres throughout the year. Please consult our parish newsletter for details, or call the parish office on 07 3355 3690.

Reconciliation is scheduled each Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am at Our Lady of Dolours Catholic Church.

 

Rosary

The Rosary is a Scripture based prayer focusing on the life of Jesus Christ. It is a particularly beautiful devotion to Jesus' mother, Mary.

The Samford Rosary Circle is scheduled each Wednesday at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Our Lady of Dolours has a family Rosary roster. Should you wish to join the roster, please contact our office on 07 3355 3690.

 

Treble M 

Treble M is a vibrant choir who meet weekly at the Gathering Space. They enjoy sharing their talents hosting concerts for the parish and wider community.

 

Verse for Vinnies

Verse for Vinnies is a poetry recital that raises funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society. Verse for Vinnies is loved by all generations! Professional and amateur poets deliver wonderful performances. Contact the parish office or consult our latest newsletter for dates and information.

At GSM parishes we nurture our children's faith in various ways. We understand children are our future.

 

Atrium

The Atrium is a Montessori inspired environment designed to provide Catechesis about Jesus and His love for each one of us. We provide a sacred space named Atrium where children can explore the wonders and works of the Lord. The learning is Scripture based, with practical elements framed in a Montessori manner. This allows the Gospel to be learnt through sensory material in a child-led learning framework.

Atrium is scheduled for Tuesdays 9:30am to 11am; Tuesdays 3:20pm to 4:40pm; and Thursdays 3:20pm to 4:40pm. The Atrium is in the heart of St William's Catholic Primary School, at the base of the steps near the main entrance.

 

Children's Liturgy

Children's Liturgy helps children understand the Gospel of the day in a space together. Forming friendships in faith and growing the children's understanding of God's word is the basis of Children's Liturgy.

Children's Liturgy is scheduled for each first Sunday of the month at St William's Catholic Church, in the Daley Centre from 9am.

Young adults are a welcomed and integral part of our community. Our Genesis Youth program sparks conversations whilst exploring key faith concepts.

Genesis Youth is for youth aged 13 to 17 years who seek fun, food and faith! Genesis Youth meet each Sunday from 3pm to 4:45pm at the Daley Centre of St William's before attending 5pm Mass. Find them on Instagram under genesis_youth_ or email st********************@***il.com
