Sacramental Program Overview

Please find the following overview of our 2025 Sacramental Program. Our program runs over two (2) years, commencing with Confirmation (generally year 3) followed by Eucharist and Reconciliation (generally year 4). Once enrolled for Confirmation there is no need to re-enrol for the remaining Sacraments.

We welcome older children into our program. We welcome relocated families who are mid-journey with their Sacraments.

We look forward to meeting you and your families as you journey through the Sacraments with our support and prayer.

 

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
For children in year 3 or above who have been Baptised
Information evening: Thursday 5 June, 7pm at St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Encounter Kids workshop day: Sunday, 20 July, at 9am Mass followed by morning tea and workshops until approx. 2:30pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation:
Group A: Saturday, August 2 at 5pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group B: Sunday, August 3 at 9am, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group C: Sunday, August 3 at 5pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group D: Sunday, August 3 at 10am, Our Lady of Dolours, Mitchelton.
Group E: Sunday, August 3 at 8am, Sacred Heart, Samford.

SACRAMENT OF EUCHARIST
For children who have celebrated their Confirmation the year prior
Information evening: Thursday 17 July, 7pm at St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Encounter Kids workshop day: Sunday, 31 August, at 9am Mass followed by morning tea and workshops until approx. 2:30pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Eucharist:
Group A: Saturday, September 13 at 5pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group B: Sunday, September 14 at 9am, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group C: Sunday, September 14 at 5pm, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group D: Sunday, September 14 at 10am, Our Lady of Dolours, Mitchelton.
Group E: Sunday, September 14 at 8am, Sacred Heart, Samford.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
For children who have celebrated their Confirmation and First Eucharist
Information evening: Thursday 9 October, 7pm, at St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Encounter Kids workshop day: Sunday, 9 November, at 9am Mass followed by morning tea and workshops until approx. 12 noon, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation:
Group A: Sunday 23 November at 9am, St William’s Catholic Church, Grovely.
Group B: Sunday 23 November at 10am, Our Lady of Dolours, Mitchelton.
Group C: Sunday 23 November at 8am, Sacred Heart, Samford.

Please note the information evenings and workshop days are compulsory.

Please note an Enrolment Fee of $120 is payable at the Confirmation Parent Information Evening (Cash/EFT available) or at our parish office. This fee is for all three sacraments. You are not required to pay other fees for the Sacraments of Eucharist or Reconciliation. Please note if your family are experiencing financial challenges please do come and speak with us at the parish office privately. If you have relocated and have already commenced your child’s Sacramental journey, please contact us to assist you.
