‘For many years now and in various parts of the world, Alpha has shown itself powerful in bringing faith alive in all kinds of people. Its focus is on Jesus, its method is simple and its appeal is wide-ranging. It is also well adapted for use in Catholic communities looking to provide the kind of ignition we need if we are to become a more missionary Church.’—Archbishop Mark Coleridge
Alpha is for anyone who is curious to explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.
To become a ‘missionary Church’ we need to become an invitational Church. Who will you invite to the next Alpha course starting in February 2020?
We are also gathering people who would like to contribute to Alpha through cooking and serving the meals.
If you have questions or would like to contribute to Alpha in any way please contact Katrina in the Parish Office 3355 2667 ext 1.

If you are between the age of 12-17 years you are invited to attend. There will be food, drinks, a video segment, games and conversations. The conversations will explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Life-Is this it? And How can we have faith? To Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us? Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
