Faith Matters with Fr Chris Hanlon – 16 and 23 July

Fr. Chris Hanlon has given an annual two-evening presentation on some aspect of Church History for about 10 years. Most of the major movements since Jesus’ death and resurrection have been covered. This time he will present some of his ongoing research into the history of the Church in Qld from the time Qld became a separate colony (6/6/1859) to the end of World War 1 (1918). Fr. Hanlon is a well-credentialed Church historian.

Details: 16 and 23 July from 7.30pm to 9.00pm in the Daley Centre.

A gold coin donation is appreciated to cover expenses.

The Faith Matters team has collected about 50 books by more recent authors. Most of these books challenge one’s thinking which hopefully leads to a more personal and adult relationship with Jesus. As we progress through life, our Faith grows through stages. For one thing, we realise that as we grow older our relationship with God is the thing that matters, not how much we may know about the teachings of our Faith. Our religion and spirituality is all about relationship, not so much about doctrine, as Pope Francis has often said.
